Application Overview
Application forms for 2006 will be available from January 2, 2006 - February 28, 2006. Applications are accepted only during the month of February.

A $25.00 non-refundable application fee is required for each program applied to (no cash- all payments by checks, money order, visa or mastercard). Please review all entrance requirements for the appropriate program before submitting an application.

Instructions on Submitting an Application
Please note all applicants will NOT receive interviews. Students selected for panel interviews will be contacted by phone. Panel interview applicants who are recommended for a final interview will be contacted by phone.

Application requirements: Failure to meet any of the following will result in loss of application eligibility.

All applicants must successfully pass an assessment examination. Information regarding the assessment examination can be found on the application. The last day to take the assessment exam is February 28, 2006.

All applicants must complete both Application Forms A & B. Applications Form-A will be available at the KPSAHS Main Campus or can be downloaded from the KPSAHS website. Applicants must complete Application Form-B at the time of their assessment Examination.

A$25.00 non-refundable application fee is required for each program applied to (Check or Money Order will only be accepted for mailed in applications).

Applications must have two signed letters of reference attached. (Original letter signed & dated within 6 months of the application date). Applications with less than two letters of reference will not be considered.

Official Academic transcripts are required to document completion of pre-requisites. To maintain eligibility, official sealed academic transcripts must be received and postmarked by March 31, 2006. Hand carried transcrips will not be accepted. Transcripts myst be sent to KPSAHS directly from the educational institution.

Submitting Transcripts
Academic transcripts are required to verify completion. To maintain eligibility, official sealed academic transcripts must be postmarked by March 31, 2006. Transcripts must be sent directly from the educational institute.

Hand Carried Transcripts Will Not Be Accepted.

Taking the Assessment Test
The State of California, Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE) requires our school to administer a standardized cognitive assessment test to all individuals who apply to our programs. This cognitive test approved by the American Council on Education as a valid predictor of vocational training outcomes.

The assessment test is given at the School during the application period, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Applicants may sit for the test once they've submitted an application. It is the applicant's responsibility to complete the assessment test prior to the application deadline. There are no exceptions. The last day for Assessment Examination testing / re-testing is Monday, February 28, 2006

Applicants are allowed three (3) attempts each application period to successfully complete the assessment examination. There is no charge for the first two (2) attempts. There is a $20.00 additional charge for the third attempt. This fee is payable to KPSAHS by check or money order only. Please be aware that the State of California requires a one week resting period for retesting.

Accommodations will be made for individuals with appropriate ADA documentation.

Application Checklist
Before mailing or hand delivering your application packet to KPSAHS, Please ensure that you have enclosed all of the following:

  • Completed 2006 Admissions Application Form
  • Two current letters of reference (Original letter, signed & dated within six (6) months of the application date)
  • $25.00 non-refundable application fee for each program applied to. (check or money order will only be accepted for mailed in applications)

Application Review Process
All applications are reviewed. The application review, interviews, and selection process will take approximately 3 months. Please note that not all applicants will receive an interview. Students selected for a First Round interview are contacted by phone. Students selected for a second interview will be contacted by phone. All applicants will be notified by mail of acceptance status by early June.

General Eligibility Requirements
All required information must be submitted by the stated due-dates. Failure to meet all deadlines will result in a rejection of the application. In addition, all educational information provided must be verified by official transcripts. Any discrepancies will terminate an applicant’s eligibility.

If you have been convicted of a felony, we recommend that you contact the governing body of the individual program for information regarding your eligibility for certification and registration. It is the applicant’s responsibility to contact the appropriate agency regarding this issue. KPSAHS assumes no responsibility in this matter.

Once accepted, students are required to have a physical examination through occupational health.
