Policies & Procedures - Attendance
Attendance Withdrawals To formally withdraw the student must adhere to the following process:
If a student withdraws without written notification or fails to follow the KPSAHS process for withdrawal from a program, a failing grade will be assigned for each course in which the student is currently enrolled. If a student withdraws following proper withdrawal protocol a grade of “I” will be assigned for each course in which the student is currently enrolled. Students will not receive a certificate of completion until all program graduation requirements have been met. Readmission A student who withdraws from a program is given one opportunity to apply for readmission. The student may be re-admitted one year from the time of withdrawal. To be re-admitted, a written request must be delivered to their program director 90 days prior to the anticipated date of readmission. The letter must include a statement of why they believe they will be able to successfully complete the program if they are readmitted. Students who are readmitted to any program are subject to completing remedial course work to ensure that learning objectives are met. All students readmitted to the program must complete one quarter of clinical education before returning to their didactic courses. The student and Program Director will sign a written agreement of terms for readmission. The student will not be readmitted if he/she fails to complete the agreement requirements by the due date.
